Rain finally moves out of Middle Georgia!

Good evening,
Heavy rain has been in Middle Georgia off and on all day, but we will finally see showers come to an end this weekend.

The last of the heavy showers are moving through Georgia this evening and overnight we should see the bulk of the constant rain ending. An additional 1/4″ of rain is possible overnight.

The cold front will pass through overnight, which will help end the heavy rain in the area, but a few scattered showers will be possible behind the front. We could also see some sunshine, especially by the afternoon.

Big changes return to the forecast overnight Saturday and into Sunday, when the rain finally ends and partly cloudy skies take over the forecast. Temperatures shouldn’t be too chilly with lows in the 40’s and highs in the upper 50’s and low 60’s. Dry conditions are expected through much of next week.
