Rain and cooler temps are on the way
Good evening,
After a pretty perfect fall day, big changes are on the way through the end of the week.
A wedge front will send colder air down from the northeast and funnel it through the mountains bringing a big cool down to Middle and North Georgia.
Not only will it be chilly, it will also be quite rainy across the area beginning late Thursday afternoon and lasting through much of Friday.
By Saturday, we should begin to dry out, but temps will be staying on the cool side. Looking ahead, Halloween looks to be cool and dry which will be great for trick or treating!
Also of note, we are watching a system in the Atlantic that has a high chance of formation within the next 5 days. No immediate threat, but definitely something to watch as we move into next week.
