Quality Computers in Macon preparing for tax free weekend

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It’s tax free weekend in Georgia this Friday and Saturday, and one local Macon business is gearing up for the event.

Quality Computers is located on Riverside Drive, and owner Brad Spiegel says these couple of days are huge for their store, “It really allows us to kind of have a level playing field, and our customers to have a level playing field, versus buying something online.”

Spiegel says the most popular items sold during the tax free weekend are usually merchandise necessary for students as they get back into the classroom, “The large majority of sales are really people getting stuff for back to school, whether that’s people going to high school or whether that’s college students preparing for pre-career tools.”

The tax free weekend is all day Friday and Saturday, and Quality Computers will have their doors open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
