Public Service Communications makes big purchase

REYNOLDS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – As of August 1st, 2014, Forsyth CableNet belongs to Public Service Communications.

According to a media release, Public Service Communications purchased the local cable and internet system from the City of Forsyth, Georgia. The new company will continue to operate as Forsyth CableNet, LLC.

“We are very excited about the purchase of Forsyth CableNet and the opportunity to serve the customers in the Forsyth area,” said James L. Bond, President of Forsyth CabelNet.

Bond said customers will continue to make payments at the Forsyth City Hall for the first three months, but the company plans to have a payment/office location in the Downtown area at the beginning of November. 

The company’s goal is to have the system upgraded to offer faster Broadband speeds within the next 6 months.
