Pretty Sweet: Setting up for the Georgia Strawberry Festival

REYNOLDS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –

If you’re looking for some sweet treats this weekend, I know just the place for you. It’s Reynolds’ 20th Annual Georgia Strawberry Festival.

“It’s just a chance to get together and see old friends that you might not have seen in awhile,” Elizabeth Schooler said.

The fun starts tonight with a gospel festival. There’s a 5k run tomorrow morning at 8, then the kid’s and grand parade at 10. Reynolds Chief of Police Lonnie Holder says they’re expecting over 10,000 people to attend.

“We’ll set up perimeters. Just hope people are on their best behavior. We haven’t had a problem in 20-years here. This is a family event, so we hope it continues to be a family event. We hope everyone is on their best behavior. If not, we got a place for them to go,” Holder said.

There’s much more to do at the Strawberry Festival tomorrow if you can’t make it our early.
