MARIETTA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – President Donald Trump is set to visit Marietta next week to highlight his administration’s economic agenda and a new savings program for children, according to the White House.

White House spokeswoman Liz Huston said Trump will visit Wheeler High School on Wednesday, July 22.

The administration says the president will discuss his Working Families Tax Cuts, which it says have increased tax refunds for many Georgia families, expanded tax relief for seniors, overtime workers and small businesses, and helped spur new private-sector investments across the state.

The White House also says Trump will promote “Trump Accounts,” a program that provides a $1,000 Treasury contribution for eligible children born between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028. Parents can also open tax-advantaged accounts for children under 18, with additional contributions allowed from family members, employers and others.

According to the administration, the accounts are designed to help young Americans save for retirement, buy a home or pay for higher education.
