Potholes becoming a major problem in Macon

MACON, GA (41NBC/WMGT)– Potholes and cracks fill the street causing damage to many cars and trucks going down Lower Poplar Street in Macon.

“These are the receipts that i’ve had over the last years from tire patches and having to have them aligned.  there are just so many people that work here.  i had eight in one year that i had to have fixed. ” said B&D accountant Lisa Moore.

Moore says workers at b&d aren’t the only ones dealing with potholes, anyone driving down this bumpy road will experience this problem.

“It is very embarrasing people that come out of town during the cherry blossom festival.  there’s only way they come out from the festival is come out this back road and they have to go down under this trussel where the potholes are.” Moore said.

41NBC contacted Macon-Bibb public works and they said they will access and fix the potholes next week.
