So if you’re wondering the website discounts sound too good to be true, here’s how Groupon gets unbelievable deals.

You can receive Groupon discount opportunities in two forms, either by creating a profile on their website or by getting the Groupon app. on your cell phone.

“You don’t really need to be tied to your computer anymore, we have apps that are good on the Iphone, Android, and we just released our Blackberry app. too and these are free you just go to our normal app store and download them and you can get Groupon anytime you want,” said Mossler.

Once you’ve found a deal that peaks your interest here’s how the website works.

“So you go to our site and see the deal of the day and let’s just say spend $25 get $50 to a local hair salon, if you decide that it’s a deal that you want you click buy, your credit card is charged and you get the voucher in your email and you use it like cash,” said Mossler.

The Macon Groupon website is scheduled to launch at the end of this month.
