Pop Up Boutique Coming to Macon’s First Friday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A unique shopping opportunity is “popping up” in downtown Macon this Friday.

Main Street Macon is sponsoring a pop up boutique at 466 First Street from 5 to 8pm as part of First Friday. The boutique will feature designs from Mint, Blush Kennesaw, Rumor and Betsy Pittard Designs.

A pop-up boutique concept often found in big cities like New York and San Francisco.

Main Street and the Urban Development Authority thought it was time to show off downtown’s vibrant market for unique retailers.

“It’s one of those things where each shop builds on the last and really creates a district. so we’re really hoping to get in several boutiques, show them that there’s a market down here and help them get a business started right here in downtown Macon,” said Alex Morisson, Executive Director, UDA.

Tess Harper with Main Street Macon says it’s also an opportunity for First Friday goers.

“It’s a great win win for everybody,” said Tess Harper, Main Street Macon.

The pop-up boutique is open from 5 to 8pm this Friday.
