Police Search for Suspect Involved in Family Dollar Armed Robbery

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that happened Saturday night at the Family Dollar on Shurling Drive.

Police say the suspect demanded from a store employee at the front register.

Once the employee gave the gunman an undisclosed amount of money, he fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a male, around 5-feet, 6-inches tall, last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black mask covering his face.

No one was one injured.
