Police search for driver of Jaguar-type car who shot vehicle

MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) – Police near Atlanta are trying to find a motorist who was seen shooting a gun from his car – possibly a Jaguar – at another driver near Atlanta’s northwest edge.

Cobb County police say the shooting happened shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday, when the victim’s rear passenger window was shattered as he merged onto Interstate 75 from Cumberland Boulevard.

The victim pulled over, and a witness who also stopped to check on him told police he saw the other motorist lean out of his window with a silver handgun and open fire at the other car, striking it twice, before speeding away.

The witness described the suspect’s vehicle as a newer-model sedan, possibly a Jaguar.

The shooting happened in the bustling Cumberland area, near several office buildings and large condominium and apartment complexes.
