Police on the Look Out for Female Identity Thieves

MACON,Georgia (41 NBC/WMGT) – Houston County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for two women accused of identity theft and fraud. The women are suspected of stealing more than $20,000 of merchandise. According to Houston County Sheriff Sgt. Slate Simmons the women pose as clients to real estate agents and brokers. Witnesses told police the women roam from office to office stealing wallets and purses.

“Then the suspects are immediately running out to retailers such as Kay Jewelers and Toys R Us all around the state of Georgia making large purchases,” said Sgt. Simmons.
