Plenty of sunshine today
This morning we saw cold below freezing temperatures in Macon, however the rest of the area saw cold above freezing temperatures. This afternoon we will have plenty of sunshine and highs in the low 60s. Overnight we will see temperatures much warmer than this morning in the 40s. We will be warmer due to the cloud coverage in the area. As we head into the weekend we will be rainy from late Saturday through Sunday. This is all because of an area of low pressure will form in the Gulf of Mexico. As it draws closer to middle it will bring rain and windy conditions. Gusts late Saturday through Sunday could be as high as 40 mph a the area of low pressure traverse to the east of middle Georgia. After it’s all said and done we could see rain totals of 1-3 inches across the area. We will remain dry next week with a lot of sunshine on Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday we will remain partly cloudy in the mid 50s. Christmas looks to be dry and above average as of now.
