PLAYOFF SOCCER HIGHLIGHTS & SCOREBOARD: FPD Girls get the 9-2 win over Tattnall Square; Advance to GIAA AAAA Final Four

MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – In GIAA playoff second round girls soccer action, FPD advanced to the AAAA Final Four with a 9-2 victory over Tattnall Square Academy. After scoring four goals in a row, TSA fired back with two goals of their own to end the first half, and to open the second half to close the gap to two in a 4-2 game. However, after that, the Lady Vikings went on to score five straight goals to finish the game. Bella Matthews scored the first and third goal of the game, (as part of her three goals in the game) to become the FPD single season goal scoring record holder with 48 goals.

GHSA A D-II Boys Soccer:

GMC Prep 4, Christian Heritage 2 – GMC advances to the Class A D-II Championship game May 7th at 7:30 pm at Mercer University to play Atkinson County.

GIAA AA Girls Soccer:

CFCA 5, St. George’s 2 – CFCA advances to the AA Final Four to face the winner of Georgia Christian/Covenant Academy.

GIAA AAAA Girls Soccer:

St. Anne Pacelli 4, Mount De Sales 0 – to end their season.

Stratford 6, Strong Rock 1 – The Lady Eagles advance to the AAAA Final Four where they will face St. Anne Pacelli on a date set for sometime between May 7-9.

GIAA AA Boys Soccer:

CFCA 2, St. George’s 0 – CFCA advances to the AA Final Four Semifinals to face Westminster Christian on a date set for sometime between May 7-9.

GIAA AAAA Boys Soccer:

Tattnall Square 3, Bulloch Academy 1 – Trojans advance to the AAAA Final Four Semifinals to face St. Anne Pacelli on a date set for sometime between May 7-9.

Stratford Academy 6, Brookstone 0 – The Eagles advance to the AAAA Final Four Semifinals to face Cristo Rey Atlanta on a date set for sometime between May 7-9.
