Pilot Club of Jones County to host Touch-A-Truck

Tickets are $5 and food will be available to purchase. 

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Pilot Club of Jones County is hosting Touch-A-Truck to raise funds for brain awareness.

Pilot Club member, Beth Coon,  says the event is September 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Jones County Sheriff’s Office. There will be all kinds of equipment, emergency vehicles, tractor trucks, concrete trucks and more for attendees to interact with.

Pilot Club member, Nancy Mc Cook, says the mission of the Pilot Club is to raise awareness of brain disabilities and disorders. McCook says the main focus with this fundraiser is to buy helmets for every Pre-K child in Jones County.

The Pilot Club of Jones County also does Project Lifesaver alongside the Jones County Sheriff’s Office. Project Lifesaver puts bracelets on people with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and autism patients who tend to wander.
