Piedmont Named To Newsweek’s America’s Greatest Workplaces For Diversity 2025

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – For the third year in a row, Piedmont has earned recognition as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights group.

According to the announcement, research shows that nearly 80 percent of U.S. workers believe it’s important for companies to foster an inclusive culture.

Piedmont says DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) isn’t about changing beliefs but changing behaviors. The hospital says its DEI council’s goals include everyone being heard and appreciated for who they are.

“Piedmont Healthcare has a dynamic diverse background,” DEI chair for Piedmont Macon North, Denise Fletcher, said. “We are made up of 80 percent women and 52 percent minority ethnic background, so that for me is very important.”

Piedmont says it will continue to educate the community about DEI and welcomes all qualified applicants to join Piedmont’s staff in the future.
