Man shot in the head near Hollingsworth Road in West Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Police found a man in his car with a gunshot wound to the head Friday night.

23-year-old Eddie Harris Jr., told police he was traveling north on Hollingsworth Road behind a Ford Fusion when Harris and the driver of the Ford turned onto Robinson Road.

The driver of the Ford Fusion then pulled over to the right side of the road and Harris attempted to drive pass the car.

A person in the Ford Fusion fired multiple shots into Harris’ car while he attempted to pass.

Harris got out of his car and returned fire and the driver of the Ford Fusion drove off.

Harris was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition. The bullet did not go through Harris’ skull.

The Ford Fusion was described as gray with tinted windows. Police did not say how many people were in the Ford Fusion.
