Perry residents to receive home renovations
PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Low income home owners in Perry will soon get their homes renovated.
The Georgia Department of Community Affairs awarded the city of Perry with $306,000 of grant money through the community home investment program.
Councilman Willie King says he is glad to get the opporunity to make improvements in the community.
“We wanted to bring the community up to par and let the people feel good about themselves, and that was one of the major things that was my concern as a city councilman,” he adds.
The city is looking to renovate 8 homes this year.
