Perry Police provide updates to the shooting that happened at May Days on the Midway.

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT )— The Perry Police Department says the Saturday night shooting at May Days on the Midway involved a stolen gun.

Captain Heath Dykes says two people got into an argument near the clock tower, and then someone pulled out a gun and fired it several times.

He says the recovered gun was stolen out of Pulaski County.

“It was kind of a chaotic situation when people were trying to leave,” Dykes said. “We were trying to get there to render aid to any victims we may have had, but at the end of the day, if anyone saw anything that might help us we would like for them to give us a call.”

The victim of the shooting is out of the hospital.
