PERRY, Georgia (41NBC-WMGT) – The Perry Police Foundation unveiled a new training simulator for the Perry Police Department.

The police department purchased the DART MAX system to support the police department’s commitment to improving protocols.

“The reality is a lot of officers don’t get training one or two times a year,” Lieutenant Chris Sutcliff said. “And it’s not a skill they practice a lot, but having this type of system, I can come in here and call an officer in two or three times a week and go through these drills, and it gets them more comfortable with it.”

This advanced simulator will provide officers with the ability to engage in realistic scenario-based training, improve their decision-making skills in high-pressure situations within a controlled environment.
