Inclusive Playground Breaks Ground At Magnolia Point Park In Perry

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- A new inclusive playground is coming to Perry after a groundbreaking ceremony at Magnolia Point Park.

The project is led by the Haseya Women’s Club and is funded by more than $1 million in community donations.

Avoly Wainwright, one of the co-chairs of the Haseya Women’s Club, said the playground is designed to serve children of all ability levels, along with their caregivers.

Organizers say the goal is to create an inclusive space where children can play together, regardless of physical or developmental differences.

Community partnership supports project

The City of Perry is partnering with the Haseya Women’s Club on the project, with the goal of making Magnolia Point Park a destination for families across the region.

Organizers plan to complete construction by the end of the summer.

Once finished, the playground is expected to open in time for the next school year.
