Perry Elementary Students Practice Leadership Skills
Wednesday students in Perry exercised their leadership skills hoping to gain national attention. Kids at Tucker Elementary showcased what they’ve learned through the book, “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.” Guests were able to participate in student-led conferences, musical productions and more. The principal says this is the second year her students have participated in Leadership Day.
“It’s a celebration of what we believe children are and what they will become, and it’s also center around our mission and vision which is to develop one student leader one child at a time,” explained Principal Dr. Kim Halstead, Tucker Elementary School.
Tucker Elementary School is working to achieve lighthouse distinction, that’s leadership status on a national level.
