Perfect Weather for Santa and his Reindeer

MACON, Georgia. (41NBC/WMGT) – Clear conditions last through Christmas before rain returns to Middle Georgia on Thursday.

This Evening.

This afternoon we saw plenty of sunshine and seasonable temperatures across Middle Georgia and I expect more of the same over the next couple of days. Tonight temperatures will fall near the freezing mark under a mostly clear sky. That is great news for Rudolph and the rest of the reindeer as they trek towards Middle Georgia late tonight. I expect them to be pulling Santa’s sleigh with Rudolph using his bright red nose to see through the clear skies.

Christmas Day.

Much like today, we will see a lot of sunshine on Tuesday. When you wake up to check out all of the gifts that Santa left temperatures will be in the lower 40’s across Middle Georgia. In the afternoon temperatures will get in the lower and middle 60’s with an abundance of sunshine. Tomorrow night temperatures will cool into the upper 30’s.

Extended.

We stay rain free through Wednesday before a wet weather pattern returns to Middle Georgia on Thursday. The rain does not exit quickly as it will hang around through the middle of next week as we ring in the New Year. With rain heavy at times, I am expecting to add another two to four inches of rain to areas across Middle Georgia with some areas receiving more than that. Here in Middle Georgia we already have a surplus of rain for the month and the year, but we will continue to distance ourselves from the normal as this weather pattern will dump several more inches of rain across Middle Georgia.
