Perdue Visits School in Houston County to Talk Goverment
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Former Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue visited the media center at Lake Joy Primary School in Warner Robins on Thursday.
Perdue and his wife, Mary, talked with second graders about the government, his time in office and how he wants the students to remain in school.
Students at Lake Joy Primary are learning about the government in their social studies classes and they’re up to date on everything going on in Washington D.C.
The former governor, who served from 2003 – 2011, answered questions about the government shutting down.
