People in Warner Robins sip ‘Coffee With A Cop’

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Across the country, community members got to sip ‘Coffee with a Cop this morning. Police in Warner Robins sipped some ‘joe’ at Courtyard Marriott.

It’s the police department’s fourth year participating in the national initiative. The event gives people the chance to express concerns in the community, or just tell officers “thanks for their service.”

“We need to know our community members, we need to know who we’re serving, and who is in our community, and what their concerns are because if we don’t have that relationship when things are great then when things aren’t great we don’t have anything to fall back on,” Warner Robins Police Department’s PIO Jennifer Parson said.

She says the main concern they heard today is speeding in neighborhoods.
