Pedestrian killed in early morning crash on Gray Highway

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly traffic collision involving a pedestrian early Tuesday morning on Gray Highway near Boulevard.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly traffic collision involving a pedestrian early Tuesday morning on Gray Highway near Boulevard. Deputies say the incident happened just before 3:45 a.m., when a 20-year-old man driving a gray Nissan struck a 36-year-old male pedestrian who was crossing the road while wearing dark clothing.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they found the pedestrian unresponsive. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead by medical staff. The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of his family.
