Pedestrian killed in early morning collision on Eisenhower Parkway
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly traffic collision involving a pedestrian this morning in Macon.

UPDATE (10:40 a.m.) The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim as 27-year-old Jawarren Johnson of Macon. Next of kin has been notified, according to Coroner Leon Jones.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly traffic collision involving a pedestrian this morning in Macon. According to officials, the incident occurred just before 6:00 a.m. in the 1600 block of Eisenhower Parkway. Deputies responded after a call was made to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center reporting the crash.
When deputies arrived, they found a 27-year-old man unresponsive at the scene. Preliminary reports indicate the man was running across the roadway when he was struck by an eastbound Chevy truck.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, where medical staff confirmed he had died. His identity has not yet been released, pending notification of his next of kin.
