Coroner: Pedestrian killed in accident near Rocky Creek Road and Thrasher Circle
A 44-year-old woman was fatally struck by a vehicle in a late-night accident on Rocky Creek Road in Macon.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a pedestrian accident that happened around 11 Friday night near the intersection of Rocky Creek Road and Thrasher Circle, when a Honda Accord, traveling west on Rocky Creek Road, struck a female pedestrian.
Witnesses reported that the driver saw the woman in the roadway and attempted to avoid hitting her but was unable to do so. The pedestrian, identified as 44-year-old Cameron Rodriguez from New York, was transported to Atrium Navicent by ambulance were she later died.
Coroner Ronnie Miley confirmed Rodriguez’s next of kin has been notified. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
