FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two Peach County Trojans made their college commitments official on National Signing Day on Wednesday.

Offensive lineman Jordyn Millerhorne says committing to Iowa Western Community College will advance his on-field skills.

They have such a strong winning tradition,” he said. “I feel like I can go there and be very successful with the great coaching and facilities they have.”

Millerhorne says Iowa Western’s coaching staff stood out to him the most during his recruiting process.

“I feel like they’re very family oriented and they’re there to get me better,” he added.

Quarterback DJ Hudson isn’t going far. He says he knew from the first visit Fort Valley State University was right for him.

As soon as I started to get into the community and start hearing people talk about how great Fort Valley State [is] and how many opportunities it provided for them, and also just being close to home, it’s a good thing.”

Hudson says he is looking forward to making his mark at Wildcat Stadium.

“The quarterback that just left this year, he broke a record, and I want to pass that record, and I want to win a championship,” he said.

Hudson says he’s most excited about providing for the community.

“They have given me a lot throughout this whole process,” he said. “Through me transferring here my junior year, them welcoming me with open arms, and I just really want to give back.”

As for the Trojans, they’ll look to keep the momentum going in 2025. They’re coming off an 11 and 2 seasontheir best since 2019.
