Peach County Head Coach Joey Hiller Surpasses 1,200 Career Victories
The Trojans Softball and Baseball Head Coach reached the career mileston Monday in a 12-0 win over Warner Robins

FORT VALLEY, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – Peach County head coach Joey Hiller reached a rare milestone Monday, eclipsing 1,200 combined wins in baseball and softball after the Trojans’ 12-0 softball victory over Warner Robins.
The achievement comes just two weeks after Hiller earned his 500th career softball win, becoming the 14th coach in Georgia to reach that mark.
“It means a lot, but it’s honestly, I mean, that’s not why I do it,” Hiller said. “I don’t do it to add up the wins. You don’t win this many games without having just fantastic players, assistant coaches and supportive parents, not to mention mentors.”
Hiller credited longtime influences including Barney Hester, as well as his former coaches at Stratford, Bubba Adams and Bobby Henley, for shaping his career.
“They were fantastic role models,” Hiller said. “They all really taught me how to raise the bar and set the standard very high. Trying to impress that upon your team is what it’s all about.”
Hiller, who previously spent more than two decades at Tatnall Square Academy before moving to Peach County, said he plans to continue coaching as long as the community around him remains strong.
“I’m a loyal guy,” Hiller said. “Count the number of places that I’ve been in my career. Yeah, a couple of years at Stratford and then Tatnall for 25, 26 years and then Peach. I don’t plan to go anywhere.”
