Peach County advances to second round to face familiar region opponent

The 30-2 Peach County Trojans swept their GHSA opening round matchup against West Hall (10-20)

FORT VALLEY, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – In the opening round of the GHSA AAA State Baseball Championship at Trojan Athletic Complex Friday evening, the Peach County High School Trojans Baseball team swept their matchup with West Hall. Trojans won game one 8-1 behind an incredible performance on the mound from University of Georgia Commit LHP Jackson Peavy striking out 14 batters and only allowing three hits on one earned run. Trojans won game two 13-3 to take the series and advance to the second round.

Peach County will face region opponent Bainbridge at home Thursday. The Trojans swept their season series with Bainbridge 9-0, 9-2.
