Patient Simulation Center Opens at The Medical Center

?A new center aimed at providing better patient care and education is now open at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Thursday a ribbon cutting officially unveiled the Center for Innovative Learning. The new building consists of five rooms, including a virtual reality room for surgery, two procedure rooms, a patient simulator area and a specialized classroom.

“Learners can practice, they can make mistakes in a practice environment, they can learn how to take care of patients, how to do procedures before they actually do it in a true patient care environment,” said Marcia Hutchinson, Chief Academic Officer at the Medical Center.

The new center is for beginners to advanced health care professionals. ??
