Part of Macon street dedicated to Christmas Light Extravaganza founder
The stretch of road from 1st Street to 3rd Street is now called, "Bryan Nichols Way."

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A part of Poplar Street is now dedicated in honor of Christmas Light Extravaganza Founder Bryan Nichols.
The stretch of road from 1st Street to 3rd Street is now called “Bryan Nichols Way.”
At a ceremony on Tuesday, Macon-Bibb Mayor Lester Miller and community leaders thanked Nichols for his efforts to bring something special to downtown Macon every year.
Visit Macon reported that the Christmas lights have made a massive economic impact on the city, pulling in more than $7 million last year.
