Parker Aerospace Keeps Dublin Booming

Dublin has become home to many industrial distribution centers because of it’s location.

One business that seems to be booming in the area is Parker Aerospace.
It’s small business-feel and big corporation attitude makes them a huge employer of many middle Georgians.

Parker’s Business Unit Director Phil Dowd says, “Parker has a great practice of coming to semi rural communities where we can have a great marriage between the community and the company.”

The company employs about 200 central Georgians and will celebrate 25 years in Dublin this year.

“We have a very talented workforce, our labor rates are comparative to other big cities,” said Business Team Leader Bryan Ploeg.

Their products can be found on nearly all major military and commercial aircraft, but what keeps the business booming is the community connection.

“It’s because of the family atmosphere, partially because of Dublin. I come from a large city and I’ve come here and just fallen in love with the town,” said Project Engineer Walt Osborn.

The business stays in tune with it’s markets, balances supply and demand, and avoids financial risks – those who work there say that keeps Parker Aerospace supporting war fighters around the world.
