Parents Respond to Macon Miracle Changes and Continue to Voice Concerns

Changes to the Macon Miracle are giving Bibb County parents hope that their voices are being heard.

Tonight, the school board listened to more feedback from community members, parents, and even the students themselves about Dr. Romain Dallemand’s Macon Miracle. Nearly 300 people showed up to Southwest High School to address the school leaders, and almost 50 people’s concerns, questions, and comments were heard.

Some say, Dr. Dallemand’s decisions to keep the grade configuration the same, and eliminating the longer school day from the plan were steps in the right direction.

The school board did not respond to any of the comments tonight. They said they plan to address the most common concerns and questions on the school board website. To visit the Bibb County Board of Education website click here.
