Parents Hold Peaceful March In Downtown Macon in Hopes of Facing Superintendent

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Today, dozens of parents and community members took to the streets. They marched from the Music Hall to the Bibb County Board of Education Office.

They were hoping Dr. Romain Dallemand or at least all the board members would be there waiting. Gary Bechtel was the only one there fielding their questions. Director of Risk Management for the Bibb County School District, David Gowan, said repeatedly the superintendent was unavailable.

There was no yelling as they marched, but they fired questions at the only man who stood at the door. They were questions Bibb County School Board member Gary Bechtel has himself.
