Pactiv Officials Release Statement on Plant Fire in Bibb County

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Pactiv Advanced Packaging Solutions has released a statement after a fire gutted its plant in Bibb County.

In an email Tori Berndt, Pactiv Communications Manager wrote:

“This morning a fire broke out at Pactiv’s molded fiber plant in Macon, Ga. The fire was significant and required all plant personnel to evacuate the facility. No one was injured during the fire. Firefighters were onsite immediately and they are working to control it. While we work to assess the damages, we expect to leverage the facilities and inventory at other Pactiv locations to help meet our customers’ needs.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.”
