Overturned tractor trailer delays traffic on Pio Nono Avenue

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened on Pio Nono Avenue.

The driver, 27-year-old Omega Edwards says he was approaching a curve when his load shifted causing the truck and trailer to flip over.

Northbound lanes were blocked for 3 hours while the accident scene was cleared. No one was hurt in the accident and no other vehicles were involved.

Edwards was charged with driving too fast for conditions and exceeding the speed limit.
