Overturned Pickup, Leaking Propane Tank Causes I-75 Shut Down
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Macon police and emergency crews shut down I-75 south Tuesday night after a pickup truck overturned, and a leaking propane tank was lodged underneath it.
That’s according to an officer near the scene of the accident.
The accident happened just before the I-16 and I-75 split near exit 165 around 6:40 pm.
Traffic was backed up as late as 8:20 Tuesday night. Police were directing traffic off of the interstate near the Pierce Avenue exit.
The officer on the scene also told 41NBC it was a single car accident. A Macon police dispatch officer said the driver’s family drove him to a hospital in Bleckley County.
