Organizing tips to help you save money

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Your new year’s resolution  may be saving money. Professional organizer Andi Willis shares some tips to help you save some green this year.

Willis says getting organized can help you save and make a little extra money.

Willis says put all your bills together in one place. She suggests a file folder box or an envelope that you can put on your fridge. Be sure to schedule when you will pay your bills. She says leave a note in your planner or schedule an alarm on your phone.

Willis says people tend to buy too much of something because they can’t find it when they need it.
She adds organizing your pantry or cupboards can help you save money because you will know what you have that is still usable.

Finally, Willis says you can make some money off your items by selling them. You can also donate your items and get a tax write off.
