Operation Reawaken’s third demolition complete in Warner Robins’ Commercial Circle
"We not just talking about it now, we're doing something about it," Councilman Clifford Holmes, Jr. said.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Rubble is the only thing left standing Tuesday after the former CarSource building was demolished as part of the third phase in ‘Operation Reawaken’ in Warner Robins’ Commercial Circle.
According to a news release, the third phase represents a continuation of the city’s commitment to progress and innovation. The city has been doing strategic demolition in efforts to redevelop and build a thriving downtown district. According to Warner Robins Mayor LaRhonda Patrick, 81% of Commercial Circle has been acquired or contracted by the city of Warner Robins.
“This corner we’re standing on in our redevelopment plan will be returned to green space,” Mayor Patrick said. “We will be making a complete circle around the intersection of Watson and Davis Drive, so this area will be a part of that vision, and be green space returned to Commercial Circle, as we build up buildings around it. So it’s going to be an awesome place to go down in the history of our city.”
“We started doing something about trying to develop a downtown Warner Robins years ago,” City Councilman Clifford Holmes said. “We not just talking about it now, we’re doing something about it. Warner Robins is not a small town anymore, it’s a large city and continues to grow.”
The next demolitions will be this fall and winter, and Mayor LaRhonda Patrick says the project will all make sense soon.
