One person wounded after shooting near Elpis Street in Macon
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A person was shot early Wednesday morning near a home located on Elpis Street.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call around 3:15 a.m. and located 31-year-old Kenneth Edmonds near the M&M Grocery Store on Montpelier Avenue. Edmonds had been shot once in the back.
Witnesses reported that an altercation had taken place between two unknown females near the Elpis Street address, when Edmonds got involved. Shortly afterwards, an unidentified individual fired a few shots, hitting Edmonds. He then ran to the grocery store.
The victim was transported to the Medical Center, Navicent Health where he was treated. The injury is believed to be non-life threatening.
There is no information on a potential suspect or suspects currently.
