One person killed in road rage Eisenhower Parkway shooting

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – One person was killed in a shooting that happened Tuesday afternoon on Eisenhower Parkway.

Lt. Randy Gonzalez with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says two drivers were involved. A person driving a black Honda was following someone driving a white Challenger east on Eisenhower Parkway.

Aothorities say at one point the driver of the black Honda stopped his car and got a gun out of the trunk, then caught back up with the driver of the Challenger.

Deputies say both vehicles got to the intersection of Eisenhower Parkway and Bloomfield Road then shooting took place.

The driver of the Challenger, 22 year old William Hollingsworth fired shots.

The driver of the Honda, 48 year Randy Eugene Epps was taken to the Medical Center Navicent Health ER where he later died of multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at 12:58 p.m.

Investigators tell 41NBC that Epps pointed his gun at Hollingsworth first.

Hollingsworth was questioned and then released.

Deputies say their investigation into the shooting continues.
