One Death Sentence Filed in Georgia in 2011

Only one death sentence was filed in Georgia this year, that’s according to a new report from the ‘Death Penalty Information Center’.

Georgians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty say this is part of a decline in death sentences in the state since 2009.

Georgia is one of 34 states that have the death penalty.
