Old Book Sale in Perry Ends Tomorrow
PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Old Book Sale is on again at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry.
The Houston County Friends of the Library is once again holding the book sale to benefit the county’s several libraries.
Georgette Lipford, president of the organization, says the libraries are in need of funding to purchase new books, as money from the state has been limited due to budget cutbacks.
Several genres of books are available at the sale, Lipford said, including romance, children’s books, vintage and collectable books, as well as mystery, historical & inspiriational fiction.
The Old Book Sale will be open from 9am until 8pm Friday, and from 9am until 3pm on Saturday. All books during Saturday’s hours will be half price.
