Oglethorpe man arrested for allegedly forcing minors to drink alcohol until they became sick

The Oglethorpe man was charged with cruelty to children, reckless conduct, and furnishing alcohol to a person under the age of 21.

MACON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An Oglethorpe man was arrested after forcing two female minors to drink alcohol until they became sick, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. 

32-year-old Edvardo Johnson was charged with cruelty to children, reckless conduct, and furnishing alcohol to a person under the age of 21.

The Montezuma Police Department and the Macon County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI to assist with a child abuse investigation on May 6.

The investigation revealed that Johnson forced two female minors to drink alcohol until they became sick. The minors told their parents what happened which led to a forensic interview.

Johnson was booked into the Sumter County Jail which houses inmates for Macon County.
