Officials kick off statewide courthouse book sales
The 330 page book has every courthouse from Georgia’s counties.
Officials put the book together with help UGA Press, the State Bar of Georgia, and the Georgia Humanities Council.
Ross King, the executive director of ACCG, says county courthouses are the staple in each community, and the book highlights Georgia history.
“It’s not just a place where the courts exist, it is where birth certificates are registered, where death certificates are registered and everything in between. There’s quite a bit of business that’s transacted in courthouses and there’s a real sense of community that dates back in Georgia’s history,” King said.
The $35 book is available in several book stores including Barnes and Noble and online on Amazon.com.
