No graduate degrees for MGSC

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Middle Georgia State College will not be offering master’s degrees this fall, that’s according to Communication Coordinator Sheron Smith.

The college’s level change request was not approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACS-COC).

Smith says the decision does not affect the college from becoming a university on July 1.

The school plans to reapply to offer graduate degrees as early as September.
