A nice Wednesday on the way, before the rain and cold
Good evening,
Big changes are on the way across the southeast through the end of the week.
Tomorrow the sun returns across Middle Georgia with cool temperatures to start and a mild afternoon.
All eyes turn to the Mexican coast where Hurricane Willa made landfall earlier tonight with winds of 120 mph. Willa will track across Mexico bringing heavy, flooding rains. By Thursday, Willa will have lost most of its intensity, but still retain heavy rain as it tracks into the Gulf of Mexico.
While this is happening high pressure, that is to our north will help send cold air to our area in the form of a wedge front. This will keep our highs well below average through the end of the week.
As low pressure (formerly Willa) tracks across Florida we will see increased rain chances to go with our much cooler temps.
The cooler air hangs around through much of the weekend, but we will begin to dry out.
