NewTown Macon announces memorial service for late President, CEO Josh Rogers
The memorial service will be held on December 2 at 11 a.m. in Willingham Hall’s Toney Auditorium on Mercer University’s campus.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A memorial service for the late President and CEO of NewTown Macon, Josh Rogers, will be held on December 2.
NewTown Macon confirming that Josh Rogers died from cardiac arrest while on a routine run on November 24.
NewTown Macon released the following statement:
“Under Josh’s leadership, downtown Macon became a thriving, award-winning hub of activity. Locally owned and operated businesses now fill our storefronts, reflecting the rich diversity of our community. Over 1,000 residents live in a safe, walkable urban core, and visitors from near and far are drawn to experience the unique vibrancy of our city.”
The memorial service will be held on December 2 at 11 a.m. in Willingham Hall’s Toney Auditorium on Mercer University’s campus.
NewTown Macon says parking for the memorial service is available in the Stadium Drive parking lot adjacent to OrthoGeorgia Park, across from the Hilton Garden Inn.
There will be limited van shuttle services from the Stadium Drive lot for those who need it beginning at 10 a.m. Parking is also available at the Oglethorpe Street lot in Tattnall Square Park and at Centenary Church on Ash Street on a first-come, first-served basis.
NewTown Macon says they recommend that all guests be parked by 10:30 a.m. to allow adequate travel time to Willingham Hall for the 11 a.m. service.
The service will be livestreamed on NewTown Macon’s Facebook page and the family asks that no media attend with cameras or recording devices.
